Ukraine added on their official website that Dovbyk had sustained the injury with the Giallorossi before the international break. For this reason, he has not been able to train with the rest of the national team over the last few days.
Dovbyk, 27, joined Roma for €30.5m from Girona in the 2024 summer transfer window and hasn’t yet scored in three competitive appearances with the Giallorossi.
After the September break, Roma will visit Alberto Gilardino’s Genoa at Marassi on September 15.
