Less than 24 hours after the Georginio Wijnaldum fracture, Roma saw Nicolò Zaniolo stretchered off with a dislocated shoulder.

It has not been a good couple of days for the Giallorossi, because last night summer signing Wijnaldum was diagnosed with a fractured tibia after an accidental training ground collision.

The squad wore special shirts during the warm-up to wish the Netherlands international well ahead of their game with Cremonese.

However, just 42 minutes into that match, Zaniolo ran into the box and was tackled cleanly by Luka Lochosvili, falling awkwardly onto his left shoulder.

Zaniolo immediately started screaming at the bench, telling them he had hurt his shoulder and needed help.

After several minutes of treatment on the turf of the Stadio Olimpico, Zaniolo was helped to his feet and went off on a stretcher.

He was substituted by Stephan El Shaarawy, suggesting it could be a serious injury if they did not wait until half-time to make the change.
