While the Mayor of Rome expressed open optimism regarding the completion of the project, it appears the club will have to wait longer than expected.

As reported by LaRoma24.it, the administration of the Lazio region still hasn't received the stadium's final project, which was supposed to be delivered to them by the city council.

The paperwork was supposed to be submitted by November 15 to start the next phase of the project, with the plan being that of kicking off construction in 2016 and opening in 2018.

But that schedule now seems unlikely, especially as the €300m cost for the building of the stadium and the expansion of the Metro B line are still not covered.

President James Pallotta's €50m are guaranteed, but there are no secure investors for the remaining amount.
