The Giallorossi will unveil their 2013-14 team at the Stadio Olimpico on August 20 in an ‘Open Day 2013.’

As pre-season training has included numerous protests, it remains to be seen how the squad is greeted.

Roma won their friendly 4-1 over Toronto FC on Wednesday night, but the flight back to Washington DC proved to be a terrifying experience.

Full-back Dodo made it known to fans with a tweet from the Washington airport: ‘Mamma mia!!! With a flight like that I wanted to be home on the PlayStation. We are alive, thank God!’

It is reported that Marco Borriello was the only player to sleep soundly throughout the turbulence.
