Roma have made their final offer to Henrikh Mkhitaryan and set a deadline to stop the tug-of-war with Inter dragging on any further.

The Armenia international will be a free agent from June 30 and had seemed to be on the verge of signing a new deal with the Giallorossi, only to then lean towards joining Inter instead.

Over the last couple of days, the situation moved again towards total uncertainty.

According to Sky Sport Italia and the Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma have now raised their offer to €3.6m per season net, plus bonuses of €300,000 for every 15 competitive matches played.

The idea is to reach €4.2m per season with these performance-related bonuses and add-ons, not to mention team-related bonuses for targets achieved.

It’d also automatically renew to 2024 if he plays at least half their games or if Roma qualify for the Champions League.

This would make it very similar to the proposal that Inter have on the table, but the Giallorossi are done waiting and have set an ultimatum of 24 hours for a final answer.

Inter have qualified for the Champions League, whereas Roma are only in the Europa League, having won the Conference League.

  1. Giving his age and quality, AS Roma gave him a very good deal. He better stay at Roma than Inter bcos new club at times creates unforeseen and unexpected problems but He’s used to AS Roma. Let his experience in Man.united when he left his former club guide him. AS Roma will soon move to the next level with Jose and the boost wining a trophy will give them a push to aspire for bigger accomplishment. He’s on the right track with AS Roma and they really showed him appreciation with this offer and by almost building the team around him. Anyway, I wish him all the best.

  2. you can’t let this calibre of player walk away its very difficult this kind of talented plaYER like mikitaryan comes along very rarely you have to do everything to keep him BEAUSE ROMADONT HAVE APLAYER LIKE THIS HE IS THE ONLY ONE HE IS THE MAESTRO

  3. He’s worth every dollar and will be even more important if Roma secure another midfielder, allowing Micky to rest every few rounds.
