There are reports Roma and Chelsea could swap Romelu Lukaku and Tammy Abraham next summer, but the Giallorossi reportedly value the English striker at €52m.
English sources reported on Monday that Roma and Chelsea could discuss a swap deal involving Lukaku and Abraham at the end of the season and Calciomercato.com has confirmed this is an option on the cards.
According to the report, Roma want to keep Lukaku at the Stadio Olimpico long-term, while Abraham is seen as a player who can be ‘sacrificed’ on the market.
Roma were planning to sell the Englishman last summer, but he sustained a severe knee injury in the last game of the 2022-23 season against Spezia. He’s not expected to return to action before January.
Calciomercato.com reports Roma still value Abraham at €52m and it remains to be seen if Chelsea will be interested in bringing him back to Stamford Bridge.
The Italian media outlet says the Blues seem keen on Napoli star Osimhen, while Roma will do anything to sign Lukaku permanently in 2024.
