Roma are reportedly on the verge of securing a deal for 21-year-old Djurgardens left-back Samuel Dahl.

According to Sportbladet, then repeated by Tuttomercatoweb and Sky Sport Italia, the agreement has practically been reached between the two clubs.

Dahl will be the replacement for Leonardo Spinazzola, who came to the end of his contract and signed for Napoli as a free agent.

The cost of the operation is expected to be around €3.5m to make the move to the Stadio Olimpico permanent.

Roma invest in Dahl talent

Dahl just turned 21 in March and already has one senior cap for Sweden, which he earned in January this year.

He plays primarily as a left-back, but can also be used in a more advanced role down the wing or as a central midfielder.

Djurgardens only purchased him from Orebro SK a year ago and this will be his first experience outside of Swedish football.

Roma have been active on the transfer market, signing Enzo Le Fee from Rennes.
