Roma will reportedly meet Nicolò Zaniolo’s agent next week, but Juventus have already informed him that they are ready to invest in the Giallorossi starlet over the summer.

Zaniolo is in the spotlight after Roma director Tiago Pinto admitted that he couldn’t guarantee that the 22-year-old will play at the Stadio Olimpico next season.

Roma showed a relaxed Zaniolo talking to José Mourinho before yesterday’s training session and, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Giallorossi will meet the player’s agent next week.

Roma are planning to extend his contract beyond 2024. Zaniolo is on a €2.5m-a-year deal at the Stadio Olimpico and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club will offer the Italy international a new agreement worth circa €4m per season.

Zaniolo is described as ‘happy’ following José Mourinho’s recent tactical changes. Zaniolo began the season as a left winger, but he has now been moved closer to Tammy Abraham in attack, a position that Zaniolo enjoys more.

Meantime, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus have already informed the player agent that Zaniolo is among their targets for the summer. The Bianconeri ‘are convinced’ to be in pole position despite interests from Spain and England, including Tottenham.

The Serie A giants are on good terms with the player’s entourage and could soon make their offer for the Italy international.
