Roma may have to do without captain Lorenzo Pellegrini for tomorrow’s blockbuster match with a resurgent Juventus side.

The Giallorossi are hoping to stay involved in the race for a top four finish this season and need to try and generate some consistency as the season enters its final stages. Jose Mourinho’s side currently sit 5th in the table, three points behind Milan and Inter.

Juventus have shown their resilience in recent weeks after being handed a 15-point deduction back in January. Massimiliano Allegri’s side sit just 12 points behind the top four spots and will be hopeful of their chances of securing a Champions League finish this season.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma may be forced to face Juventus without Pellegrini after the club captain was struck by a bout of flu.

He will undergo a final round of tests on the morning of the match and could take medication to try and limit his symptoms, but his presence is still in doubt regardless. Should he be sidelined, Georginio Wijnaldum would take his spot in the starting line-up.
