Roma have written a letter to Lega Serie A asking for their coming match with Atalanta to be postponed due to their crazy schedule in May.

The Giallorossi find themselves in a difficult spot heading into the final weeks of the season, having to play out four tough matches across 10 days in the start of May – both legs of the Europa League semi-final against Bayer Leverkusen and league clashes with Juventus and la Dea.

Earlier this month, Roma released a statement protesting against the decision to reschedule their postponed match with Udinese to April 25, frustrated with the busy schedule as they try to overcome Xabi Alonso’s high-flying Bayer Leverkusen.

Roma request postponement

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Roma have again written to Lega Serie A, asking for their match with Atalanta on May 12th to be rescheduled to the following day, considering that both clubs are competing in the Europa League semi-finals.

This is unlikely to be granted to the Giallorossi, considering that the Coppa Italia final between la Dea and Juventus will be held on May 15th at the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma also asked for the Coppa Italia final to be postponed, highlighting how the Bianconeri are not competing in other cups.
