Roma are in negotiations with Manchester United for Alex Telles, but only want him on loan to fill in for injured Leonardo Spinazzola.
The 28-year-old Brazilian is no stranger to Serie A, because he already played for Inter on loan from Galatasaray in 2015-16.
He went on to FC Porto and Manchester United purchased him for €15m in October 2020.
However, Telles has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford following Luke Shaw’s improvements and has been urged to find another club this summer.
According to Calciomercato.com, Sky Sport Italia and others, Roma have asked to take Telles on loan, but Manchester United only want a permanent transfer to get him off their books.
A loan is all that the Giallorossi require, as Spinazzola is out of action for seven to nine months with a torn Achilles tendon.
Until the injury, he had been on track to be named Player of the Tournament for Italy at UEFA EURO 2020.
Deal now considered ‘complicated’ as of today – Roma will try in the next days.
