There is good news for Roma from Uruguay, as tests show Matias Vina’s muscular injury sustained on international duty is not serious.

There were concerns when he pulled out during the 1-1 draw with Peru on Thursday night, suffering from a muscular issue.

However, tests performed by the Uruguay staff have shown there are no lesions, so this is just a twinge.

As a precaution, Vina will not play in the next match against Bolivia, but is expected to feature in the following fixture with Ecuador.

There will also therefore not be an early return to Italy for the Roma left-back.

Gianluca Mancini was released early from the Italy camp with an inflammation in his foot, but again it is not believed to be particularly serious.
