According to multiple reports in Italy, Roma winger Stephan El Shaarawy will remain out of action for at least three weeks with a calf injury.

El Shaarawy was replaced in the second half of Bologna-Roma yesterday. He underwent medical examinations in the morning, which highlighted an injury at his right calf.

The 29-year-old will miss Saturday’s match against Inter and according to Calciomercato.com, he will remain out of action for three weeks.

That means the former Milan starlet would return to action after the Christmas break and he will no longer play in 2021.

El Shaarawy has scored six goals and delivered an assist in 21 appearances across all competitions with the Giallorossi this season.
