Roma reassure Dzeko

Roma have reportedly contacted Edin Dzeko to assure him they will work out a transfer fee with Manchester City.

The striker is increasingly irritated at the delays in this move, as City rejected the initial €20m offer.

According to Sky Sport Italia, TeleRadio Stereo and Calciomercato.it, the Giallorossi have twice called up Dzeko over the last few days to reassure him the deal is not off.

Manchester City are asking for €30m to release the Bosnia international.

Roma need to sell Mattia Destro in order to raise funds for Dzeko, but so far that is proving difficult.

Italian media have reported for weeks that personal terms were already agreed, but now Sky Sports UK are also confirming Dzeko wants the transfer.
