Roma are still feuding with Nicolò Zaniolo, but are reportedly ready to welcome Rick Karsdorp back into the fold after his row with Jose Mourinho.

The Giallorossi know the end of the January transfer window means that outcasts such as Karsdorp and Zaniolo are stuck there for the rest of the season, unable to find another club.

Zaniolo released an open letter urging for a reconciliation, but according to Il Tempo newspaper, it is Karsdorp who is about to return to training with the rest of the squad.

The right-back has not played since the draw with Sassuolo on November 9, when he came on as a substitute and Mourinho told the media that Karsdorp had “betrayed” his teammates with a “poor attitude.”

He was frozen out of the squad and Roma were condemned by FIFPro for their treatment of the player.

It would seem as if the situation has thawed somewhat, especially after Mourinho told reporters last week that Karsdorp could be welcomed back if he apologised.
