Roma ready to close out deal for Frattesi

Davide Frattesi has reportedly agreed to join Roma and he’s set to sign for the club by the end of this week.

The 22-year-old Italian midfielder rose to prominence this season under Alessio Dionisi at Sassuolo, proving his quality across 36 Serie A appearances. The talented prospect scored four goals and provided four assists this campaign and now seems ready for the next step of his career.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, the distance between Sassuolo’s requests and Roma’s offer has narrowed significantly in recent hours and the two parties have agreed that some young players will be included in a deal worth €30m in total, including players in exchange.

The players that could be part of the deal include Felix Afena-Gyan, Cristian Volpato and Filippo Tripi. A 30% future re-sale clause will also be attached to the deal.

Frattesi will earn around €2m net per season with Roma and he’s excited to return to the club of his youth.
