Roma prepare for decisive Zaniolo meeting

Nicolo Zaniolo’s future in the Italian capital is still shrouded in doubt and Roma are preparing for a key meeting with his agent.

The 22-year-old Italian forward had a relatively inconsistent season under Jose Mourinho, scoring two goals and providing five assists in 28 Serie A appearances this season. He’s experienced some growing pains under the Portuguese coach and his future with the club is growing increasingly doubtful.

As reported by Sky Sports Italia, Roma are getting ready for a meeting with Zaniolo’s agent Claudio Vigorelli next week. The pair will discuss the 22-year-old’s future and a possible contract renewal.

The Italian forward’’s current deal expires in 2024 and he may be sold this summer should a renewal not be signed. Milan and Juventus are both reportedly keen on a move.

Zaniolo did find success in the Europa Conference League this season, netting five goals and providing three assists in 10 games.

  1. AS ROMA need to hold onto him. He wasn’t at a 100% this year due to coming back from a serious injury and he still scored vital goals.

  2. I like how they ignore that one of his goals in the Conference League turned out to be the winner. Any other club that would’ve been mentioned. Keep seeing a bias here

  3. With Friedkin, i think we should focus on keeping Key players, not like stupid Pallota back then.
We should focus on building squad, not selling key players especially to rivals
