Colombian sources claim this afternoon that Roma are prepared to offer €25m plus bonuses for FC Porto wide midfielder Luis Diaz.

The 24-year-old plays primarily on the left side of midfield, but can also work on the right or in a more advanced role supporting the attack.

He only joined FC Porto from Junior FC in the summer of 2019 for €7.2m and impressed recently at the Copa America.

According to WinSports TV transfer pundit Pipe Sierra, Roma are leading the race for Luis Diaz and lining up a proposal worth €25m plus bonuses.

It’s suggested the bid could be made when Roma and Porto go head-to-head in a friendly match on July 28.

The player has two goals in 18 senior caps for Colombia, while last season he found the net 11 times along with six assists in 47 competitive outings for FC Porto.

Roma are transforming their side on the transfer market under new coach Jose Mourinho, as left-back Matias Viña is on the verge of a move from Palmeiras.
