According to the Corriere dello Sport, Pallotta responded to criticisms about the Lupi's transfer markets by suggesting that everything was under control.
“I'm not worried in the slightest,” he said. “You, fellas, are getting too anxious.”
But Sabatini, who faced harsh criticism after his unsuccessful transfer campaign last January, is quoted by today's editions of Il Messaggero and La Gazzetta dello Sport in a very different state of mind.
According to these papers, the sporting director has been repeating for several days the same phrase.
“In this transfer campaign I'm wagering Roma,” he said.
