La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Roma owner Dan Friedkin has ambitious plans for the Giallorossi’s future, including building a new 60,000-seat stadium and the pursuit of Joshua Zirkzee.
Roma have had a convincing start to the season as Gian Piero Gasperini’s side are the joint-table leaders alongside defending champions Napoli.
Roma will chase Zirkzee in January

The Giallorossi have conceded just two goals, resulting in the least-beaten defence in the league, but also scored only seven times, so they are already considering signing a new striker in January.
According to Gazzetta, Manchester United’s Zirkzee is the top target, followed by Folarin Balogun of Monaco and Lucas Stassin of Saint-Etienne.
Previous reports in Italy claimed that Zirkzee was willing to leave Manchester United and return to Serie A.
However, Friedkin also has long-term plans, including building a new stadium in the area of Pietralata.
Roma’s plans for new stadium and U23 squad

According to the report, Roma see Munich’s Allianz Stadium as a model for their new arena, which will have a 60,000 capacity.
The new stadium has also been included among the potential venues for Euro 2032.
Last but not least, Friedkin is also eager to launch a new U23 squad competing in Italy’s third division, following other Serie A sides such as Juventus, Atalanta, Inter and Milan.

I was lucky to fulfill a dream to attend a match at Stadio Olimpico (Roma V Verona) for the first time. I traveled from overseas on Holidays. The atmosphere and crowd were incredible. An experience I will not forget.
However, what surprised me was the lack of transport options, the facilities and organization of the stadium. They were well below what I expected and realistically, well below global standards.
The Friedkin’s vision of a new stadium needs to be supported and built if Roma are to take the next step.
All you need to do is attend match at a modern stadium is see the vast difference in quality.
I do love the Stadio Olimpico for the history of Roma, but it is really becoming a relic.
