Roma are now on the verge of signing Matias Soulé from Juventus after increasing their offer to €28m plus bonuses, as although Leicester City bid higher, the player only wants them.

The Argentine talent impressed during his loan spell at Frosinone last season and will be sold this summer to raise funds for other transfer strategies.

Although Juve had originally hoped to get €40m for Soulé, and turned down a bigger proposal than that mid-season from Saudi Arabia, it is reported they will now accept €30m plus bonuses.

Soulé turned down Leicester City

Leicester City have already offered that amount, but the player has set his sights very firmly on Roma after talks with coach Daniele De Rossi and has informed all the clubs via his agent that he will only accept the Giallorossi.

Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà claims this afternoon that Roma are steadily improving their proposal to €28m plus bonuses and edging closer to a deal.
