The medical exam has reportedly ruled out a knee injury for Roma attacker Nicolò Zaniolo, who will be assessed in the coming days.

The Giallorossi attacker was replaced in the first half of the 1-0 defeat against Juventus on Sunday, but Roma have been given good news after the scans on Monday morning.

Zaniolo was brought off with a sprained knee and the fans feared the worst, as the Italy international has recently returned from two consecutive ACL ruptures.

But Tuttomercatoweb reports the scans at Villa Stuart have excluded an injury to the ligaments in his left knee and his conditions will be evaluated in the coming days.

Zaniolo started the match but was replaced by Stephan El Shaarawy after 26 minutes at the Allianz Stadium.

The 22-year-old has played seven games in Serie A this term, contributing one assist in the process and will most likely sit out when Roma play Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Europa Conference League this week.

It’s uncertain if the forward will be back in time to face League leaders Napoli on Sunday.
