The Atheltic confirms both Chelsea and Manchester United are keeping tabs on Roma forward Tammy Abraham, but the Giallorossi must inform the Blues if the Red Devils or any other club make an offer for the English striker.

Abraham joined Roma in a €40m deal from Chelsea in the summer of 2021 and the Premier League side have an option to re-sign the product of their academy for €80m at the end of the current campaign.

According to The Athletic, Manchester United scouts have been attending Roma matches several times this season to watch the England striker in action.

However, should they submit a bid for the 25-year-old, Roma would have to inform Chelsea about it.

‘Chelsea have first refusal and Roma are obliged to inform them if someone comes in and matches the buy-back clause,’ explains James Horncastle.

Abraham has scored 34 goals in 87 appearances during his 18-month spell in the Capital, where his contract expires in June 2026.

The England striker became Roma’s most prolific debutant in 2021-22 with 27 goals in 53 games across all competitions for the Giallorossi.
