According to the report, the Special One offered former Roma and Inter defender Walter Samuel to become his assistant coach from next season.
Samuel won the Serie A title with the Giallorossi in 2000-01 and was part of the legendary Inter side coached by Mourinho that won the treble in 2010.
The former Argentina international won seven trophies with the Special One in Milan.
Samuel is Lionel Scaloni’s assistant at Argentina and is tempted by Mourinho’s offer but would only move to the Capital after the end of the Copa America.
