Roma-Milan for Borja Valero

Roma and Milan are reportedly both pushing for Borja Valero, but Fiorentina aren’t keen to sell.

The Spaniard has been one of the Viola’s key men since arriving from Villarreal in 2012, and completed 89 per cent of his passes last season.

Rossoneri Coach Vincenzo Montella worked with Valero during his time on the Artemio Franchi bench, and has requested the 31-year-old for his Milan, Gianluca Di Marzio’s website reports.

Rossoneri Coach Vincenzo Montella worked with Valero during his time on the Artemio Franchi bench, and has requested the 31-year-old for his Milan, Gianluca Di Marzio’s website reports.

Montella’s style of play is heavily focused on retention of the ball, meaning Valero would be the perfect fit in his midfield.

However, Roma are also thought to be interested, as their Coach Luciano Spalletti is also a big admirer of the player.

Understandably, Fiorentina don’t want to lose one of their stars, meaning a big offer would likely be needed if either side are to get Valero.
