Roma director Tiago Pinto met with Davide Frattesi’s agent today to agree personal terms, now they need to work out a transfer fee with Sassuolo.
Tiago Pinto was photographed leaving the meeting with representative Beppe Riso in Milan this afternoon.
Sky Sport Italia are confident a deal has been reached on personal terms until June 2027 and this represents a return to the Olimpico for Frattesi, who was in the Giallorossi youth academy.
It is precisely because Roma sold him to Sassuolo in 2017 for €5m that they can get him at a discounted rate on the €30m asking price.
That move included giving Roma a 30 per cent cut of his future sell-on fee, so if Frattesi is sold back to the Capital club, they benefit twice.
They could also use more youth team players as part of the exchange deal with Sassuolo, including Felix Afena-Gyan.
The 22-year-old scored four goals with four assists in 36 Serie A appearances for Sassuolo this season, earning him three senior caps for Italy.
