Roma reportedly met with Paulo Dybala’s entourage on Sunday, as Inter, Milan and Napoli remain frosty on a potential signature.
The Argentina international is a free agent after leaving Juventus, when the club at first agreed a €10m per season net contract extension, then pulled out.
He had seemed on the verge of joining Inter, only for them to hesitate after the arrival of Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea.
According to Radio Radio, Roma director Tiago Pinto met with Dybala’s entourage on Sunday to discuss the situation and found that the player was prepared to lower his earlier salary demands due to a lack of suitable offers.
Milan and Napoli do not seem particularly interested in making an offer, so Roma hope the presence of Jose Mourinho and the notoriously passionate fans could be enough for him to overlook the lack of Champions League football.
There is still Premier League interest from Arsenal and Manchester United, but Dybala has spent practically his entire career in Italy and feels that Serie A suits him, as does the lifestyle in the country.
Wow, what a master move! NO to 8+2M and Champions League, YES to Europa League and probably 5-6M (including bonuses). One smart agent he’s got there!
@agree with you ron
Won’t happen. As soon as he lowers his price, Inter will rush back in.
@dr mongo
then he will turned down inter because he will know that Inter didnt really want him. Roma and Dybala deserved each other
If he is willing to lower his demands , Juventus should swallow it pride and go for him. After all I just want to see him , Did Maria ,chisea or my striker play together
