Roma director Tiago Pinto met with Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali today to discuss a possible deal for midfielder Davide Frattesi, who is also wanted by Juventus and Inter.
The 23-year-old Italian seems destined to leave Reggio-Emilia this summer after an impressive few years with the club, ready to make the jump to a top side.
Carnevali met with Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and Juventus duo Giovanni Manna and Francesco Calvo yesterday in Milan, exploring possible deals for Frattesi ahead of the summer transfer window.
As detailed by Gianluca Di Marzio, Pinto and Carnevali had lunch together, where they discussed the margins of a deal for Frattesi. Both appeared light-hearted after the meeting, with the latter joking “it’s early” and the former stating “I just want to sell!”
Sassuolo value the 23-year-old midfielder at around €30m and expect an interesting summer auction for the Italian, with the three clubs all hungry to add him to their squad.
Contracted to the Neroverdi until 2026, Frattesi scored seven goals in 36 Serie A appearances this season.
