Roma are slowly working on their new stadium project and are planning to spend just over €500m for their new home, reports detail.

Giallorossi CEO Pietro Berardi announced yesterday that the club’s goal is to have a final project by the end of 2023, with plans to start construction in 2024 ahead of the expected completion in 2027.

The Rome city council have approved the public interest in a new stadium and now Roma have to go through further bureaucratic procedures.

As reported by Corriere della Sera, Roma are planning to spend €528m on their new stadium, which is planned to be built in the Pietralata area of the Italian capital. The club are serious about a new home, unhappy with the state of things at the city-owned Stadio Olimpico, which is shared with rivals Lazio.

Roma have confirmed that world-renowned stadium architects Populus are working with the club on the project and that the goal is to be finished in time for their 100th year anniversary.
