Roma may use the Cesena game to give some playing time to those who haven’t featured much this season, Coach Rudi Garcia has admitted.

The Giallorossi host the relegation candidates tomorrow evening, before travelling to face Napoli on Saturday, followed by a rematch with Bayern Munich in Bavaria in a week’s time.

Speaking to assembled journalists in his Press conference ahead of the Cesena game, Garcia revealed the match may see the introduction of players such as Leandro Paredes and Salih Ucan.

“I don’t know if letting them [Paredes and Ucan] play against Juventus” data-scaytid=”14″>Juventus, City or Sampdoria” data-scaytid=”15″>Sampdoria would have been a good idea. I don’t think so,” the Coach has considered.

“Paredes did ok in pre-season, but for Ucan it’s different as he had an injury and he’s also had problems with the language.

“I think these two young lads are improving, because they’re training with great players. If there’s an opportunity to put them out on the pitch I’ll gladly do it.”

Garcia also addressed the issue of players returning from injury, with Leandro Castan, Maicon and Kevin Strootman expected to return to the fold sooner rather than later.

“Maicon is much better. He had an inflammation on his knee which kept him out of the last two games, and also tomorrow’s game, but I hope to have him back for Saturday.

“Players returning from injury after weeks are fine when they return in the first game, but then not in the next. That’s always how it goes.

“So, for example, Strootman and Castan could return, play a great first game and then afterward aren’t as good.

“You need a few games to get the rhythm back. When we get everyone back [at full fitness], particularly in midfield things will be better.

“Against Bayern we suffered physically, but not against Genoa.”
