Roma are hoping to recover star forward Paulo Dybala for their upcoming Serie A match with Milan but his presence is still shrouded in doubt.

The 29-year-old Argentinian forward has been a central figure in Jose Mourinho’s Giallorossi squad this season, scoring 16 goals and providing eight assists in 34 games across all competitions.

Dybala only came off the bench in Roma’s 3-1 loss to Atalanta on Monday and limped off the pitch. Tests confirmed that the former Juventus man had suffered a sprained ankle, but luckily avoided any lesions.

As detailed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are keeping a close eye on Dybala and plan to call him up for their next Serie A game against Milan, but may have to do without him on the pitch.

On Saturday morning, the Argentinian forward will undergo a round of physical tests to determine whether he’s fit enough or not to take part in the match.

He is still recovering from the sprained ankle, as well as adductor strain, but is clearly a vital source of creativity in the Giallorossi squad, making his absence painful.
