Roma have reportedly made an offer worth €15m for Uzbekistan international forward Eldor Shomurodov, but Genoa want €20m.

The Rossoblu paid €7.5m to sign him from Russian club Rostov last summer and he made a big impact in his debut Serie A season.

The 26-year-old scored eight goals and provided one assist in 31 top flight Italian appearances.

According to Calciomercato.com, Roma have proposed paying €15m for Shomurodov, who can play as a centre-forward, on the right or left of attack.

He made history as the first player from Uzbekistan to score a Serie A goal, which he achieved against Parma in November 2020.

That would still be double what Genoa paid a year ago, but the Grifone are still asking for closer to €20m in order to sell their new star.

The same source also notes that Genoa would look to Eastern Europe again for Shomurodov’s replacement, targeting Dinamo Kiev’s Ukraine international Vladislav Supryaga.
