Corriere dello Sport claim that Roma have submitted an offer to Bologna for veteran striker Marko Arnautovic.

The Giallorossi have been in the market for a new centre forward for a number of weeks now, needing to bolster their frontline following the serious injury suffered by Tammy Abraham in the closing stages of last season.

After moving away from previous targets like Gianluca Scamacca and Alvaro Morata, Roma have focused their efforts on Santos’ Marcos Leonardo, who may be impossible to pry from Brazil. As such, they’ve also started to move in other directions.

Pages 10 to 12 of today’s Corriere dello Sport detail how Roma have offered Bologna around €3.5m for Arnautovic, who has two years left on his contract in Emilia-Romagna.

Further talks are needed, as the Rossoblu want at least €10m for the 34-year-old Austrian striker, who scored 10 goals in 21 Serie A appearances last season.

A new offer could be submitted in the coming days, possibly using add-ons to try and close the gap between initial proposal and price tag.
