According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Roma don’t want to share José Mourinho with Portugal, so the Special One is expected to stay at the Stadio Olimpico at least until 2024.

The Special One is one of the leading candidates for the Portugal job after Fernando Santos was sacked.

Il Corriere Dello Sport reported on Friday morning that Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes had opened preliminary talks with the Portuguese Federation on Thursday.

However, according to Gazzetta, the Giallorossi do not want to part ways with Mourinho and would not accept sharing the Portuguese tactician with his national team.

If Mourinho pushes to coach Portugal, the Serie A side would ask for compensation from the Portuguese Federation.

Nevertheless, this appears to be an unlikely scenario as both Gazzetta and Corriere Dello Sport claim Mourinho is not considering leaving Roma at this stage and is expected to stay at the club until the end of his contract in June 2024.
