Roma have found a new club for Justin Kluivert, who is heading to Valencia on loan, after Fulham failed to get him a work permit.

The attacking winger was in the final year of his contract with the Giallorossi after a series of loan spells at RB Leipzig and OGC Nice.

He had been ready to sign for Fulham on loan with obligation to buy, but the move collapsed because the Premier League club had reportedly not filled out the paperwork correctly and failed to get him a work permit.

According to the Italian media, Roma were furious with Fulham at wasting a month of their time without first making sure they could register the Netherlands international.

Sportitalia now confirm a deal has been done between Roma and Valencia, whose coach is Gennaro Gattuso, but this will be a dry loan.

That means Kluivert must sign a new contract with Roma before he can be sent out on loan, otherwise they will lose him as a free agent in June 2023.
