Roma legend Roberto Pruzzo praises Tammy Abraham but admits he can still improve in two areas.

The former Chelsea striker has already scored 17 goals with the Giallorossi this term.

He has become the third quickest striker to net 15 goals in the history of the Giallorossi after Gabriel Omar Batistuta and Vincenzo Montella.

Pruzzo, a former Roma striker who scored 138 goals in 314 appearances, spoke to Il Corriere dello Sport about the Englishman, suggesting that he still needs to improve in two specific areas.

“Sometimes, he is a bit selfish,” said Pruzzo. “And sometimes he tends to lose self-confidence when he makes a mistake. He must remain calm.

“There is something that I like. He looks weak physically, he often falls down, but he always stands up. It means that he is a real fighter.

“Overall, he was a great signing, he is proving his worth.

“It’s never easy to adapt to Italian football, especially for an English player. I didn’t know him, but he is convincing me.”

Abraham was Roma’s most expensive signing over the summer as he completed a €40m move to the Stadio Olimpico.

Chelsea have an option to re-sign their academy product for €80m in 2022 or 2023.
