“My expectations are high,” said Marotta. “Our credibility is at stake.
“We have a lead of nine points and we have to keep it, unscathed.
“If we can do that, it counts as a victory. But we're going to Rome to get the maximum result out of it.
“We must be confident in our strength, but we can't afford to act like we've already won the Scudetto.
“Modern football teaches us that even teams with greater leads have failed to win. There are other hurdles between us and the Scudetto.
“We are in an advantageous position, but we must conquer our way forwards one match at a time.”
Marotta was also asked whether Paul Pogba would be fit to play for Roma, as the player struggled recently with a thigh injury.
“That's up to [Coach Max] Allegri. If he skips the match, then he'll be ready for the next one,” responded the director, who also denied that Juve were ready to sell the midfielder this summer.
“On Thursday we're playing for the Coppa Italia [against Fiorentina], and that's a competition we're very keen on.
“As for the Champions League, we believe we can make it. Our odds [of beating Borussia Dortmund] right now are at 60 per cent.”
