Roma registered a loss of €102m for 2022-23, but it’s a significant improvement from the €219m of the previous campaign, and increased revenue by €70.3m.

Several Italian sources, including Il Corriere dello Sport, report the figures of Roma’s latest balance sheet for the 2022-23 campaign. It shows a general improvement in the club’s finances despite a €102m loss, which was €219m only a year ago.

Revenues raised by €70.3m last season, mainly thanks to ticket income. The Giallorossi earned €63.6m from ticket sales as the Stadio Olimpico was often sold out for Serie A and Europa League matches.

There was an improvement in terms of UEFA prizes, too, from the €6.2m earned in 2021-22 when Roma won the Conference League, to the €18m of last season when José Mourinho’s men reached the Europa League Final.

Sponsorship deals, merchandising and royalties also raised by €10m compared to the previous campaign. Roma cut costs by €54m in 2022-23, saving €10m in personnel costs and €22m in amortization.
