Roma are in pole position to sign Atalanta’s Bryan Cristante, according to reports this morning.
The midfielder spent last season on loan from Benfica, with the Orobici buying him outright for €5m.
However, it’s unlikely he’ll be staying in Bergamo, with Atalanta looking to sell him on for around €30m.
Juventus are thought to be interested in signing him, but calciomercato.com believes that Roma are in pole position.

The Giallorossi already have an agreement in principle with Cristante, who has agreed on a five-year contract worth €2.5m per season.
They could lower the cost for Cristante by sending Gregoire Defrel in exchange, after the Frenchman managed just five Serie A starts this season.
One sticking point could be cost though, as he was signed only last summer in a deal worth €20m plus €3m in potential bonuses.
