Roma are hoping that Justin Kluivert will do enough to convince Valencia to make his loan spell permanent, which could bring €10m to the club coffers.

According to Il Tempo, the Dutch winger is doing well in Spain and coach Gennaro Gattuso would like to keep him on a permanent basis.

The 23-year-old has contributed two goals and an assist in 10 Liga performances so far this season.

Although the clubs still need to negotiate a fee, it is believed that circa €10m will be enough to complete the deal.

He has been something of a weight on the Giallorossi ever since his €17.25m move from Ajax in the summer of 2018.

Loan spells at RB Leipzig and OGC Nice failed to revitalise his career or earn a permanent switch, but he is doing better at Valencia.

The other concern for Roma is that as part of their original agreement with Ajax, they still owe the Dutch side 10 per cent of the sell-on fee for Kluivert.
