Roma are reportedly hitting the brakes on Daniele Rugani, fearing €24m plus two youth players to Juventus are excessive.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Giallorossi are concerned that the situation is spiralling from the original €30m asking price.

There were multiple rumours of the deal being on loan with obligation to buy for €24m plus midfielder Alessio Riccardi and striker Zan Celar.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Giallorossi are concerned that the situation is spiralling from the original €30m asking price.

There were multiple rumours of the deal being on loan with obligation to buy for €24m plus midfielder Alessio Riccardi and striker Zan Celar.

This would, calculate Adnkronos, take the cost up to €40m rather than €30m, as the youth team players are being undervalued.

Riccardi himself posted a message on Instagram hinting he was not happy at the idea of leaving Roma for Juventus.

Celar would be delayed, because he is already on loan with Cittadella for this season.

The pair of them would be valued at around €14m, so considerably more than previously thought within the Rugani deal.
