Roma have received the news they wanted, as their Serie A match against Torino has been brought forward to Friday May 20 so they can better prepare for the Conference League Final.
The Giallorossi had made the appeal and the Lega Serie A confirmed this evening via President Lorenzo Casini.
This will allow the Serie A side more time to get themselves ready for the Conference League Final against Feyenoord, which will be played in Tirana on Wednesday May 25.
There had been concerns, as traditionally the final round of the Serie A season is played simultaneously, so that no clubs can have the advantage of already knowing the results of their opponents.
Roma are in the thick of the battle for fifth or sixth place, which are worth a spot in the Europa League next term.
Torino, on the other hand, have nothing more to play for and had no problem with moving the fixture.
It now remains to be seen whether Lazio, Atalanta and Fiorentina will also play on Friday, as the kick-off times and dates for the final round have not yet been confirmed.
