Roma have given Nicolo Zaniolo approval to fly to Istanbul to complete his move to Galatasaray, showing the final green light to the deal.
The 23-year-old Italian forward travelled to Milan this morning to prepare for the trip to Istanbul and has been staying in a hotel, waiting for the two clubs to finalise the details of his move to the Super Lig.
Galatasaray have reportedly agreed to pay Roma over €20m total – €15m fixed with add-ons – for Zaniolo, who will have a €35m release clause in his contract. The Giallorossi also hold a 15% resale clause, allowing them to further profit €5.25m should the Italian’s release clause be activated.
As highlighted by Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma have now informed Zaniolo that he is able to take his private flight to Istanbul, where he’ll carry out the usual pre-transfer medicals with Galatasaray before putting pen to paper on his four-year contract, which’ll see him earn around €3.5m net per season.
