According to Sky Sport Italia, Roma have definitively given up on Riyad Mahrez after Leicester City rejected the latest €35m offer.
The Giallorossi had set a deadline of midnight tonight for a response to their most recent proposal.
They didn’t have to wait that long, claim the Italian television station, because Leicester turned down the £31.8m bid.

The Foxes are demanding at least €40m for Mahrez, approximately €44m, and Roma are not going to match that price.
Director of sport Monchi believes the €35m bid was fair for the Algeria international and will now move on to other targets.
Mahrez said publicly that he wanted to speak to Roma, but could not do so until the two clubs reached an agreement.
