Roma: Galatasaray drop Nzonzi

Roma loanee Steven Nzonzi has been dropped indefinitely by Galatasaray for disciplinary reasons.

Nzonzi joined the Turkish outfit in the summer, on loan from the Giallorossi with an option to buy, after a mixed year in the capital.

The Frenchman has made 15 appearances for Galatasaray in all competitions this season, but his time with the club could already be over.

That is because it released a statement saying the midfielder had been “taken out of the squad indefinitely” as a disciplinary measure.

It is not clear what Nzonzi has done to warrant such an exclusion, but the 30-year-old could nonetheless head back to Roma in January if the issue isn’t resolved.

He joined Roma from Sevilla in the summer of 2018 and played 39 times for the club last season, scoring one goal.
