Roma’s infamous injury issues have already started as forward Ola Solbakken has been sidelined with a thigh problem.

The Giallorossi are currently in Portugal on their pre-season retreat, where they’ll stay until August 3. During their time there, they’ll play friendlies with Braga on July 26 and Farense on August 2.

Roma have been quiet in the early weeks of the summer transfer window, picking up Houssem Aouar and Evan N’Dicka on free transfers and Rasmus Kristensen on loan. More important, however, is the fact that Paulo Dybala seems set to stay in the capital.

As highlighted by Gianluca Di Marzio, Solbakken picked up a muscle strain in his right thigh in Roma’s 6-0 friendly win over Latina, forcing him off the pitch.

The 24-year-old will work individually in the coming days and is not expected to take part in the friendly against Braga. The hope is he’s only suffered a minor issue, allowing him to return to the squad later this month.
