Roma are still trying to negotiate a deal with Sevilla for striker Youssef En-Nesyri, who is also targeted by Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce, and could involve Edoardo Bove.
The Morocco international just turned 27 last month and his contract with Sevilla only runs to June 2025, so is already into its final year.
This is why the Giallorossi are hoping that the asking price can be lowered from the current €30m, somewhere closer to the €22m mark.
Calciomercato.com suggest a potential way of doing this would be to include midfielder Bove as part of the deal, but there are problems here too.
Bove is not that keen on a move to Spain and Sevilla have a very different idea of his transfer value than Roma.
Mourinho challenges Roma for En-Nesyri
Fenerbahce are the current favourites for En-Nesyri, so former Roma coach Mourinho is battling to steal a target from under the nose of his successor Daniele De Rossi.
Sky Sport Italia also confirm that Fenerbahce are leading the race, but there is still a chance the Stadio Olimpico side could get the upper hand.
The centre-forward scored 20 goals in 41 competitive games last season, along with three assists.
