There are five Roma players in the UEFA Europa League squad of the season after their run to the semi-finals.
The Giallorossi lost only two matches in the entire tournament, but were eliminated by Manchester United.
Villarreal won the trophy and top the bill with seven players in the 23-man squad put together by UEFA’s Technical Observers, followed by six for Manchester United and five from Roma.
They were goalkeeper Pau Lopez, defender Gianluca Mancini, wing-back Leonardo Spinazzola, midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini and striker Edin Dzeko.
