The removal of the barriers from Stadio Olimpico seems to have ended the boycott, with Roma ultras set to return for the Derby della Capitale.

The hardcore supporters of both capital clubs have refused to turn up for the past two seasons, in protest at barriers which bisect the Curva Nord and the Curva Sud.

Some Lazio ultras did return for the first leg of the Coppa Italia Semi-Final, but the Giallorossi supporters continued to boycott.

However, following the announcement that the barriers will be taken away, Il Tempo reports that the Curva Sud is sold-out for the return leg, with over 20,000 tickets sold to Roma fans already.

Today tickets also go on sale to the Biancocelesti, with around 4,000 pre-orders and the Aquile designated as the “away” side.
