There are reports that furious Roma fans who had travelled to Norway for the match against Bodo/Glimt refused Lorenzo Pellegrini’s shirt after the final whistle.

The Giallorossi captain led the team under the sector of their away fans to apologise for the 6-1 defeat in a Conference League match on Thursday.

Circa 400 supporters had travelled to Norway to support José Mourinho’s side, but the performance and result were underwhelming, to say the least.

Roma apologise to furious fans in Norway

It was the first time in his 1,007 games as a coach that Mourinho conceded six goals.

At the end of the game, Roma fans confronted the players who had gone over to apologise to them.

According to ANSA and Il Corriere dello Sport, supporters even refused Pellegrini’s shirt.

The Roma captain took his jersey off and threw it in the stands, but fans were so furious that they threw it back on the pitch, suggesting to be in no mood for presents after such a disappointing result.

  1. They saw they came they lost against an unknown club. What a disaster. Shame on you. You have humiliated Italy 🇮🇹.

  2. Top 2 advance?

    They willl be fine.

Of course the other option is to pluck up more MLS and unknown African players to sell more shirts.

  3. Sooo…Man u 7-1, Bayern 7-1, and now this. If I was a Roma fan, I’d never introduce this team to my children. What pain, what humiliation you all have suffered over the years. To keep on cheering is a testament to you guys I applaud you.

  4. Peo if you ditch a club after a defeat you’re not a true fan. Every club has highs and lows. Thats why we love football.
